Company: Athlone Laboratories
Role: Technical Manager
I joined Athlone Laboratories over 5 years ago in the role of Sales Project Manager. My technical background in Research and Development helped me with this varied and fulfilling role to work closely with all internal departments and customers. I subsequently moved into the role of Project manager of the Global Transfer of Amoxil Oral Suspension to Athlone form GSK. During this project I worked closely with the GSK Global transfer team and Athlone in-house departments to coordinate the successful transfer of the Amoxil OS products. I was then presented with the opportunity to move to the Quality department as the technical Manager in July 2016.
Athlone Laboratories became part of DCC in 2013 and since then we have grown stronger as a company broadening our opportunities and markets. At Athlone Laboratories we pride ourselves in patient welfare and customer service which echoes the DCC Vital ethos. I am excited about a bright future for Athlone Laboratories as part of this dynamic growing organisation.
Company: TPS Healthcare, Measham
Area: TPS Healthcare
Role: Warehouse Manager
I started working for Kent pharmaceuticals at Measham in June 2015 as a Wholesale Supervisor, over the past 2 years I have been through a change of operations and 2 role changes, from Wholesale Supervisor to First Line Manager and recently to Warehouse Manager for TPS Healthcare in Measham. I have a Nebosch General Certificate in Occupation Health and Safety and I always like to keep learning and developing my skills. I have been given the opportunity, support and training to do something new and start building the foundations for which TPS will continue to grow from. It has been an interesting 2 years, a lot has changed, DCC Vital continues to grow and push forward, I look forward to many more years to come within DCC Vital.
Company: Squadron Medical
Role: Procurement Administrator
I started working at Squadron Medical in April 2007, coming from a Customer Service background. I began my career with Squadron in the Customer Services Department before moving into my current role as Procurement Administrator.
I moved into the Procurement Department following my return to work after maternity leave where Squadron Medical offered me the support and flexibility to work part time. This still enables me to make a positive contribution to the Procurement team, Squadron Medical and DCC Vital.
Squadron Medical have invested in my continued professional development, offering me training and the opportunity of further study to work towards gaining a CIPS qualification.
Our role in Procurement is challenging and rewarding in equal measure. It’s a balance of supporting the needs of the customer, whilst ensuring we meet the demands of our business.
Company: Williams Medical
Area: WILLIAMS MEDICAL
Role: Head of Medical Services
I always said when I started working, as soon as I stopped enjoying what I was doing I would leave a company and find something else. I have now worked at Williams for 15 years which is testament to the company and the people who work here. The culture is fantastic, everyone is happy to help you and we all have a shared goal that we work to together. Williams recognises hard work, effort, commitment and the will to self-develop and have supported me at each step in my progression over the last 15 years. I have seen many changes and it never ceases to amaze me how flexible and adaptable to change we are without compromising our service to our customers. We work in a very fast paced environment so every day is different, this makes DCC Vital an exciting place to be.
